Prato - Reservar una mesa

I have been coming to Prato for a few years now. I currently live in South Florida now, but make it a point to go to Prato when I get the opportunity. I do have to say the past 3 times I have been the food has been incredibly salty. This past time we had to send back the calamari because it was fishy and too salty. It was removed from the bill. The caesar salad was way to lemony and again salty. The mustard spaghetti, which is my favorite was well done this time, but the past 2 times I have been was almost to salty to eat. We had a reservation for 9:00pm and arrived early, hostess told us our table is being cleaned off and we will be seated shortly, 9:10pm I had to go back up to the hostess and tell her our reservation was at 9 and then she finally seated us. While checking in, a server came up to the front and started complaining about it being “ too busy” and she’s “too tired” to serve and saying “why are there so many reservations” in a whining voice. Like seriously, it’s a Friday night, if you don’t want to work in a restaurant and be a server you should not be there. It’s a shame because I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that heard her. At least the food was great.

We had a great time at Prato. My friend from Houston came in to visit so we checked out the wine bar in Winter Park and then ended up at Prato's for dinner. It was delicious. They always have such a unique menu of pasta dishes i've never heard of but am willing to try. We definitely plan on coming back for the food!

Service and atmosphere were great but the food was surprisingly lackluster. We always have a great meal but that night wasn’t our night. Everyone has a bad night. Hopefully it was the exception and not a sign of things to come.

The four of us all ate something different and we loved what we had. Busy place which means good food and good service.
