I ventured with my brother and his vegetarian girlfriend into the outskirts of Basel to try this newly re-opened restaurant. Now, I would suggest that you take this journey upon yourself only if you have a car, for the place is as in the middle of “nowhere” as it can be in the countryside of a Swiss city. Nevertheless, the short motorized trip is totally worth it. This formerly well known Sunday family restaurant, has now been taken over by local entrepreneurs and managed also by a local gourmand. The “nose to tail” and local/season products philosophy is well highlighted in the daily menus as in the served flavorous. We enjoyed a delightful dinner in this nose-to-tail restaurant. Romantic setting, fun outdoor bowling alley. Farm animals can be visited, playground still in the making. Nice room for groups. Best to reserve.

Very fine cuisine, very friendly service, nice ambience. Easy to reach, both on 4 wheels, by bike, but also on foot. Fair prices.
