Stayed for three nights, good clean slightly older style hotel rooms with no close bedside phone charger or sockets, just ones on the desk or on the shelving area. No discreet bedside lamp only ceiling bedside lights which are too bright if one wishes to sleep and one doesn’t, it was good to be able to open the windows and let in the fresh air, at this time of year the temps are not cold and not hot. Always staff around if needed. We asked if the rooms could be made up as there is no easy way of drying towels, I did feel the lady behind the desk was a bit put out by the request. Thankfully it was done and nice to come back to the room looking like a nice hotel room. I know this was stopped during covid but it is very much appreciated now covid is not such a problem. The brewers fayre next door is very basic and toilets are poor. They need more staff to clear and clean up, I had to ask for a cloth to clean a very sticky table from previously spilled drinks before we could sit at it, and many tables not cleared as they were so busy. We didn’t eat only had drinks there knowing the reputation from other visits. Also there is an internal corridor linking the restaurant to the premier inn which smells awful so be warned. Outside you get the smokers. The waters edge pub 15 mins drive was Superb with free parking. Loads of restaurants in Norwich a 10 min drive but is paid parking and a macdonalds approx three minute drive away. A small Marks and spencer food outlet on a nearby roundabout which can be found using Google maps as not highly visible. It’s a good location for visiting Norfolk but hope if we go again it’s had a refurbishment and a big change to the attached restaurant as we would loved to have used it had it been a nicer venue.
