Downtown Springfield is littered with homeless and addicts. I was approached more than I have been in my home city that has multiple times the population. The building is historic so, I understand that not much can be done to have more modern amenities. Nice room except for the outdated TV, tub/shower and air conditioner. As much as I like the history of the building, I will not recommend it to anyone. Also, I think I was placed on the floor where the staff lives. There were multiple people who were in uniform lounging in the rooms.
Our room was wonderful, but the air conditioner was awful, not even sure if it was working properly. And when we asked for a fan we were informed there were zero fans... Definitely could be true, but that's a first for me at a hotel. The location of this hotel was great! While I am sure they are already working on it because one elevator was being worked on, one of the elevators had an expired license in it. Might be a good idea to keep that inspection up to date.
Hotel is quite dated—the elevator from the car park to the hotel made awful noises and made a really poor first impression. We only dealt with 2 staff members, Will and Darlene, who were both polite. No cookies left at check-in (around 10pm). 2/3 lifts working and the service elevator available. Not a hotel I’d be in a rush to return to to be honest.
12th floor, elevators being repaired so expect a wait. Staff was friendly, cookies were a nice treat. Standard Hilton business class King. Room was clean, space to do morning yoga. The walk to Lincoln National Park was 4 minutes. The Old Capital and Lincoln’s law offices were a 1 minute walk and the Museum was within a 3 minute walk. Reserva una mesa ahora
