Prezzo Italian Lakeside

I have had many positive experiences at other branches but this Prezzo is one to avoid. It was busy as it was half term (but it was about 2pm). We only had to wait a few minutes before a woman came to seat us but she was interrupted by a very abrupt man who barked, How many? at us. Everytime she came over, he server kept touching me on the back/shoulder with her hand and I kept moving my body away. I eventually had to ask her to stop after the third time but she still did it to my husband as we were paying. Extremely slow service, from booking a table to waiting 20 minutes at the front door to be seated on a two seater table with three guests, cramped. Took a further 10-15 minutes to get someone’s attention for drinks possibly move tables, then a further 10 minutes after receiving the drinks we were allowed to order food, the “truffle fries” came with zero truffle just extra parsley the tiniest bit of Parmesan, overall very slow experience, quite disappointed because the food was okay, could of been better though. Nice food, but the staff member who dealt with us during our meal was rubbish, she couldn't understand the majority of what we were saying, when ordering, very strong language Barrier, which made our experience quite disappointing overall and then when we paid, we had an offer which she didn't how to use and she wasn't able to explain the details and then proceeded to come across agressive because we didn't understand her.... It's rare to have that welcoming and caring service! We come with two children (one with food allergies) and our elderly grandma who went out first time in a long time. Lady who was our waitress was absolutely lovely! Accommodating and really mindful of our extra needs. Food was great. Espresso was really, really nice. A very busy Prezzo restaurant during half term which was clearly understaffed. Food good as always at Prezzo. I find the choice of starters very boring these days. No chicken/meat options. We had such a nice time 9/11/23. The lady who served us (might have been the manager, not too sure) was lovely, very attentive and nice to chat to. The food was delicious and she made me the nicest coffee I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend the tirimisu and the citrus cooler were amazing also. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
