We really wanted to like this place, but we were seriously disappointed. The atmosphere inside was outstanding. The first shock was the beer prices - $10 for a pint of Moosehead, which is practically tap water in Canada. I looked at the import bottle beer prices in shock as every bottle was $15-18, which is outright tourist trap prices. If you are actually going to sit in there and sample of number of beers, you might need to take out a loan.The food itself was standard bar food but at fine dining prices. My son ordered a burger which came on a bland "store bought" bun with a hamburger patty half the size of the bun (about the size you would get at McDonalds) for $17! Bottom line, go in and...
To start with it was great, excellent choice of beers and our first waiter was engaged and interested in the alternatives. But then it went downhill food was poor,I got a random chicken wing in the onion rings which were very overcooked and my wife's pear salad was not good. The waiter moved elsewhere and after that the service was basically ignoring us.It was very expensive.Wouldn't recommend it unless you really like Belgian beer and aren't hungry.

....dank Jamie, dem super Sänger an diesem Abend. Das Personal war sehr, sehr nett und flink. Wir aßen eine Portion Nachos mit Hühnchen, Käse, etc., welche für uns beide gereicht hat. Und das Cream Ale fand ich persönlich auch sehr lecker. Schade, dass es an meinem Wohnort kein vergleichbares Pub gibt :-(
I consider the meal to have been expensive for a pub meal. The taste of our meals was only average, nothing to rave about. Drink wise they have a nice range of beer.The saving grace for this pub was that they had, for a while, live jazz music by a sole performer on guitar.
Ci siamo stati per caso, prezzi medi in linea con il centro della città vecchia, piatti gustosi, ma il personale ha richiesto troppo insistentemente la mancia.

We walked a long time to find a salad that was healthy and sounded appetizing. Service and live music was welcoming and nice.
Huge selection of beers, great atmosphere. Our bartender was very attentive and helpful. My new favorite beer..Kronenbourg!
