We showed up and it was very busy good for them ...the front desk staff was very nice. They were concerned that the beds were not made up It was after 5:00 pm . They said there was an issue with the laundry company getting their laundry back to them in a timely manner. I said no problem...these things happen. They thanked me for being so reasonable about it and I said not to worry..you can't control everything. An hour later the housekeeping came and made our beds. I tipped them both $5 each and said thanks and not to worry . You can't control everything. Later I went to get ice and there was none in the machine. It was busy so I thought not to mu h about it. I tried in an hour...no more ice...

On the second day, after asking in the morning, housekeeping still didn’t come. We requested again on the third day and explained that we wouldn't have enough clean towels without service. By the afternoon, there was still no cleaning done, so we asked once more, and finally, it was addressed. We were informed that they were too busy and that housekeeping operates on a request basis, prioritizing check-out rooms first, with requests done only if there’s time. This hotel is generally filthy! I had to wear my shoes in the room because the floor was dirty. A/C in the room shut off after 10 minutes. Sheets had stains, 1 mattress was completely worn out, woke up and was in terrible shape. Switched to other bed, mattress was ok. Cheap crooked laminate flooring in the room. Outlets are worn out, plugs would just fall out. Can't find coffee, toilet paper replacement. Towels are one for one exchange at the main reception. Cleaner would not give me a towel because they are all counted for each room they are to clean. Previous writer complained about broken ice machines. The shower had no handheld option, which I haven’t encountered in years, making it difficult to shower without getting your hair wet. The bathtub was slippery and dangerous, lacking any textured surface or grab bars—a rarity these days. The elevator worked fine but was excessively hot, with the humidity from the pool area reaching 27°C. On a positive note, it seemed like other guests were enjoying the pool and facilities, and the staff were doing their best. However, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for older couples like us, as the wet floors from the pool made the lobby quite hazardous, coupled with the inadequate accommodations. We stayed here with our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) while visiting with family close by. We were in a room with a kitchenette which was great as we had breakfast with groceries we had brought. The room and hotel were very clean, and I was quite impressed with the sound insulation. Great location if you are dropping off a student at Laval. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am bilingual so I spoke French, but I did hear them speaking English with clients. Two things that I would comment on are: (1) the parking. Stayed 2 nights in the unilofts building. Some noise from the hallway, and construction but it was minor. Had a nice bed, a desk, a hotplate, microwave and fridge, as well as plates and cutlery. The front desk was bilingual, and put up with my French : Great location across from the University and near all busses if you wanted to head downtown or to old Quebec. The pool area looked fun when I stuck my head in. My only concern was that the front doors to the unilofts were usually open (didn't have an automatic door mechanism and it was a bit of trial and error to find out which door to go in to find my room, but other than that, i'll happily be back next month.
Hotel room was filthy. Bathroom was disgusting and in need of numerous repairs (shower curtain rod falling off walls) (shelves above sink falling off wall). Rooms were not even remotely quite (could hear everything in hallway as though other guests were inside the room). Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Pool was over crowded and there was no adherence to covid policies. Door to hallway did not close properly. Air conditioning wasn't working upon arrival and room was sweltering (AC breaker was tripped). Poorly maintained and managed hotel. The photos look far better than reality. Do not stay at this hotel!
This was our favourite hotel during our trip to Quebec. The pool was warm as clean and the spa was perfect. The birds around the pool area were so sweet and created a nice atmosphere. This hotel was one of the worst hotels that we ever stayed at. Pretty sure they gave us a “pet friendly” room. Smell in the room was horrible. The box spring and mattress had black marks that looked like mold, The hotel was not clean. The staff were indifferent. Would never stay there again.
