My friend l have been meeting in the Pulteney cafe for about a year, to have morning coffee arriving back later for lunch we have always been greeted in a friendly welcoming manner, by ‘ Meedo’ until yesterday, when l arrived before my friend, l asked for a coffee, but was told by a very aggressive rude man, l couldn’t have coffee or tea unless l was having breakfast. His whole manner was disgusting!! My friend l came back a short while later as she couldn’t believe it….As we told him in a polite way it’s ridiculous it’s on the window that they serve tea coffee…..how he spoke to us was shocking, saying he was the manager he’ll do as he likes told us to get out …Why is he even running a cafe’...

We ordered 2 full english breakfasts. When they came I took one look and immediately said to the server That 's not bacon ..He responded yes it is. I have been eating bacon for long enough to know when bacon is bacon and this definetly was not, looked more like slices of processed ham that had been heated up. The sausage well, lets not go there, anaemic and revolting. When I went to pay, the server asked if it was alright ... I said no, that was not bacon, He then decided to tell me we use turkey! to which I pointed out bacon is made from pork and if they are using an alternative it needs to be clearly stated on the menu. I then told Him the sausage was disgusting and He then decided to reve...
Very very disappointed, As a couple regularly visiting Bath, we decided to get in early for the Christmas market, freezing cold we walked and sat down at a table, took our coats off and proceeded to order two coffees, only to be very rudely ordered to leave as they're only serving breakfast, no signage to say, plus very embarrassed to be escorted out. There was 5 empty tables around, soooooo rude, the owner was extremely lucky there were children sitting around, as it could've be a different reaction from myself, at 56 years old, I've never been escorted out of a cafe because all I wanted was a coffee, avoid at all costs.
We had an appalling breakfast. Toast was not toasted it was warm white bread. (It wasn 't 'extra thick ' either) The sausage was clearly frozen and looked so nasty I didn 't touch it... The bacon was not proper bacon, the beans were microwaved and the poached eggs were nice but done in a poacher... there is no 'chef ' here that 's for certain. There was literally nothing good about this breakfast. The whole cafe also needed a good clean... and finally, we were given no reciept and according to the menu prices we were overcharged by about £5! These people will scam you with a smile. I recommend AVOIDING! Reserva una mesa ahora
My friends I came here for brunch, upon arrival we were told to sit wherever, no hello or smile nor even a menu. Having sat for 5 minutes to wait for a menu I had to go to the counter and ask for a menu. When the food arrived it was very disappointing, no presentation and ingredients were sub standard. I could have gotten better food going to the super market and pay half the price. We were fooled by the external decor and the menu. There are lots of other lovely places to eat in Bath, avoid this place if you don't want to be disappointed.
Came in for a Sunday lunch, ended up with a sort of greasy spoon cafe breakfast. Service was adequate, but it had no enthusiasm. The set up could best be described as Retro. The meal itself was okay but the whole experience was forgettable. The...
Went here for breakfast as it looked lovely from the outside and nicely decorated inside. But that's the only nice part about this place. I went upstairs to the toilet and it was filthy. Kitchen is right at the top of the stairs beside the...
Great location overlooking the river so good spot for a coffee. Food was a bit of a let down. Had poached eggs and didn’t have much substance. Cabinet food didn’t look appealing either Reserva una mesa ahora
The manager/owner should go on a customer service training course!! He is rude. Wish we had read the other reviews first. We will not return.
