We stopped by Forrest Co At The Punch today. We used to love the food here when we visited Hull, but this time was disappointing. I ordered chicken goujons in a wrap with fries, but instead, I got a chicken burger wrapped and cut in half. The wrap was stuck to the burger like it had been toasted in a sandwich press. The fries tasted like they were a few days old. My wife ordered a veggie lasagne but was told they didn’t have any, so she went for a baked potato with cheese instead. It's been some time since my last visit to Forrest Co At The Punch—see my previous review under The Punch. The food remains excellent, served quickly, and reasonably priced. It seems the menu has been slightly reduced, but all the classic favorites are still offered. Despite the heat, I was a bit disappointed there were no outdoor tables, though this didn’t significantly affect our experience. Punch offers excellent food that stands out from many other places—nothing here looks like it came straight from a packet. The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. The prices for both beer and food are exceptional, especially considering its City Centre location. Punch also features a two-for-one deal, perfect for those on a budget seeking friendly and efficient service.
