My girlfriend and I dined at this restaurant on a Monday evening, which is not typically a busy day. However, we arrived at 6:30pm and it was the last available table! The front of house manager greeted us warmly and handled a small issue with our reservation effortlessly. We were seated in a cozy area and offered drinks while our table was prepared. We quickly received glasses of Prosecco along with the menus, and they asked about any allergies—I mentioned my dairy intolerance which they noted. We decided to dine at this restaurant based on previous reviews. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent, but we felt that the atmosphere was lacking. The ambiance was very clinical. I started with the smoked mackerel, which was cooked perfectly, and then had the pea and lemon risotto, which was absolutely delicious. We would have liked the option to sit on the balcony overlooking the harbor, but it was not given to us. Despite this, the service and food were both outstanding. It felt as though we could have been dining at a service station in Exeter, but that should not take away from the overall experience.
Whenever we visit Fowey, we always make sure to dine at this restaurant. The food is always top-notch and the view of the water is stunning. During our last visit, we enjoyed some delicious fish and chips for lunch. The portion size was just right, allowing us to actually finish our meal. The wine selection is fantastic and the service is consistently excellent.

Really nice food, attentive service. Let down with lack of options for drinks (no non alcohol drinks alternatives) and limited dinning layout with everyone desperate for the river view. Felt a but pricey for what it was, but nice no the less.
We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying Sunday lunch with a beautiful view of the river. It was perfect and we can't wait to come back again.
