It was our Anniversary and we're new to the KC area, my husband was given this spot as a dinner suggestion. Would I rate it as romantic for an Anniversary dinner? I would not, but that should not stop you from going if you haven't because WOW this BBQ is amazing! We had a bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer that is not pictured (it was that good we ate it way too fast) my only complaint about this dish is there is only four shrimp, I wanted more. Thankfully there were only four as our meals were a pretty good size. I have nothing bad to say about this place. From the minute we walked in we were greeted and seated. Highly recommend making a reservation (we did) since they have a line out the door trying to get in. Service and food recommendations from our server were on point. The drinks were tasty. We ordered an old fashioned and a lemon drop. Both had their house made smoked honey. Yum. Then for an appetizer were ordered the wings (pictured) and they really are the best wings in the world! So tasty. We ordered two dinner plates between 3 of us, the rib platter and the brisket with burnt ends. Our 5 year old crushed this food and said it's the best meal she has had in her life. It was my first time at Q39. It was a good experience. We had a 52 minute wait and it was pretty loud when we got seated, but I'd say it was worth the wait and it did start to quiet down not long after we were seated as it was getting close to closing time. The prices were fair. The quality was on deserving of all the ribbons and trophies. The quantity was good as well. We both had the Judges Plate. He got ribs, pulled pork, and the sausage. I had ribs, sliced brisket, and smoked chicken. It was all very good. It's not as good as some but better than a lot . Overall, we would come back.

Solid food. Definitely get the burnt ends. Nachos were pretty good though a tad soggy. Shrimp were plump and delicious. The wings though were awesome. Mac and cheese was hyped up as a must but fell short of expectations. Our server Dwayne was on top of everything for the whole evening from start to finish for our party of 9. Definitely will be back in the future when traveling through for business.Parking: It was packed so we had to park down the street.

Stopped in for lunch today, first visit. Should've come here some ago, just keep forgetting.Our server was excellent. Very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious!! I look forward to trying more in the future.Food: 5/5
