Quality Turkish Market Deli

I love discovering new (to me) restaurants – especially when I do so via personal recommendations. Last week I took action based on independent recommendations my wife and I had received from coworkers to try Quality Turkish Market, and let me tell you, I am so glad I did.<br/ <br/ For my entree I ordered the #1, the Döner Kabab platter. It was outstanding, and even better than the meal by the same name I’ve had at Grujo’s twice in the last few weeks. Everything about this dish worked for me. The pita was warm and fresh. The vegetables were crisp and juicy. The rice (pilav) was light and accentuated the döner meat perfectly. I really liked the döner meat – I could eat some of this every day....

The food is always made fresh to order. The Sharwma is sliced fresh daily. Hands down, the best Sharwma wrap I've ever had! I absolutely love the homemade house salad dressing, the owner says it's his secret recipe, but I would love to know the ingredients. :  The portions are large and the prices are an exceptional value.  I love the fact that I can also grocery shop while I am there, but actually the food comes out so quick there is not much time.  :

We were driving through Knoxville and stopped for a delicious lunch. The staff is so kind and friendly, the food is fresh, and we found Turkish supplies in the market (salep drink mix! that we haven't been able to find elsewhere. We ordered the doner and veggie platters to share with a side of grape leaves and got to sample just about everything on the menu. Highly recommend and if we were local we'd be regulars here.

Great food, great store, nice people. Having come from Jacksonville where the Middle Eastern cuisine is copious and high quality, I have had a hard time finding it here. Well, I found it. Since I make some dishes at one, it is good to find a good supplier of key ingredients, also.

Very good Doner plate! This is definitely a hole in the wall but with great food. Everything is fresh and made when you order. The family that runs this place is very nice and welcoming.
