Absolutely delicious food, not sure why I left it so long after dinning here for years first time returning. I went for the meatballs to start, the sauce was delicious just needed a bit of bread to mop it up. Then had the tri gusti pizza with chilli, everything so fresh and delicious. I won't be leaving it so long till my next one. Great takeaway service was ready on time and still hot when I arrived home.
I have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years, and the food and service are consistently outstanding. During my most recent visit, I started with the mozzarella and had the beef with mushrooms for my main course, and it was the best meal I have had all year. Caversham has several wonderful restaurants, but this one is always my family's favorite. The service was excellent. I dined in for dinner.
The food is excellent, pasta is perfect texture. Good variety and desert was well bakanced. And the atmosphere is relaxing where you do not have to rush for the meal and can spend a bit more time there. Wish they have gnocchi in the menu as well. Had a window seat early for our party of 5. Was lucky enough to try the Barolo which was fab. Excellent vegetarian options. The restaurant did not have a good start, as they were unable to book a table over the phone and seemed uninterested in helping the customer. Service was rated as a 1 out of 5.
The main courses are exceptional. The service is top-notch. Dining in for dinner. Price range per person £20-30. Food, service, and atmosphere all rated a perfect 5.
