My family and I will PCS next week and this restaurant was on my "husband's return bucket list". I have dined at several Doner restaurants in Ramstein and this was a firm 4 out 5 STARS.The restaurant is located near Ramstein AB but there is no parking (except on the sidewalk if that counts). I debated whether to exit the car on the passenger side with my family but that would have been just as inconvenient trying to cross over the seat. After my 10th attempt I was able to get onto the sidewalk unscathed dodging the fast cars passing by (this street needs a traffic light)!Thankfully we went after 1330hrs when the line was short as the restaurant only has three tables and two small love seats...
We eat here at least 2x a month. When we are looking for a quick, tasty and reasonably priced take out option it's the best for our family of 2 adults and 2 hungry teenage boys. We were there yesterday and it cost €22 to feed our family for dinner. The grilled Döner meat is seasoned chicken & turkey, which we prefer. We have tried many other Döner shops and this is the best one for our tastebuds. The veggies are always fresh and crisp and that is important to me as I prefer more veggies and less meat. The sauce is awesome! They are a cash only business so bring Euro. Parking is on the street. They speak English, German & Turkish. They have a couple of tables that can be used to eat-in but we...
Like so many places in Rhineland-Pfalz, Quda serves classic döners (similar to Greek gyros). Thin-sliced roasted lamb, lettuce, cabbage, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrots, peppers, and tzatziki sauce in a toasted pita bread. Of course they have many other items on their menu, as well, but the döner is the king, in my book!Quda is a very small place with only 1 or 2 small bar-type tables and a couch. There are usually people eating in, but mostly it's a take-out joint. We ate their food multiple times during our hotel stay in Ramstein. On Monday's they offer €.50 off each, so a large and small doner is only €6.50 for both! Very good and very reasonable.
Checked this place out during a short visit to Ramstein as I craved a döner. A friend recommended the Lahmacun to split. It was filled with grilled meat, fresh veggies and a delicious sauce. The fresh veg gave it a nice crunch and the sauce tames the slightly salty meat. If hungry I could have eaten a whole one myself but you can split one and still be satisfied. After seeing great reviews, we had high expectations but will not be going back. Pizza was just ok - slightly below average. The doner was ok but they claimed they had tahziki sauce (yogurt based) when in fact it was essentially mayo with a few spices -highly disappointing - skip this one and try somewhere different. We won't be going back.
