We had a lunch gathering at work and I was able to try Queen's St. Cafe Grill for the first time. I checked their menu on Yelp and their entrees plate lunch included a choice of white rice, brown rice, or mashed potatoes and a choice of salad with dressing, pasta salad, or mac salad. You can also ordered two entrees as a combo for a plate lunch. I ordered the salmon katsu and firecracker chicken combo with mashed potatoes and mac salad. Their salmon katsu was a little dry and on the thinner side. It also came with a wasabi aioli or tartar sauce and I chose the wasabi aioli. We were recommended this place by one of the locals in are hotel from Waikiki. He said it was a must to try and since it was close to Pearl Harbor that we we're visiting, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the shrimp tempura and steak combo, the steak and poki combo, and the Korean chicken katsu. The portion was very generous and when we opened the food my family looked like they just discovered gold. The food tasted amazing and the fish tasted fresh. The garlic chicken here is among the best I 've had, it 's cooked nice and crispy, the proportion of garlic and sweet flavor is perfect, and its dusted with furikake. Good rice quality. Not a huge fan of the pasta salad, kind of taste like sesame balsamic? Probably just get mac or regular salad next time. It was a long wait on a weekend afternoon, something like 45 minutes, but it was well worth it, just order ahead and time it so you aren 't waiting, or try for off peak hours. When I got there, I heard a couple coming out the door and one person says It 's an hour wait and the other person says ya let 's wait. Just shows how much people like it here.

Queen st café and grill is a hidden gem that is a family-owned kitchen serving up delicious quality local food in Aiea. They only do take out and it's best to make a phone order since they take time to prepare your food. My favorite plates from here are their kiawe fire grilled steak, fried ahi or salmon katsu w/ garlic aioli or tartar sauce, and fresh spicy and/or limu ahi poke. I am always excited to eat from Queen st because I know it's going to be delicious and satisfying. I ordered a combo with grilled steak and furikake garlic chicken with regular fried rice. It was all tasty and well seasoned. They also served large portions so you definitely get your moneys worth. Their steak tasted like it came right off the grill from your backyard. Their fried rice tasted great as well. Service was nice and organized. They are take out only now. I recommend calling in your order in advance because there might be a line when you get there.

The service was incredibly friendly and quick! You absolutely have to try the food. Support local businesses; you won't regret it! It's takeout only, with an average wait time of about 20 minutes, but you can call ahead to place your order. This place is only for takeout orders. The food is amazing with affordable prices. No matter if I speak to someone on the phone or when I pick up my order the staff is very friendly and courteous. A little hole in the wall spot that packs a bunch. The food has been great every time I went there. It's A LOT of food so be prepared. The staff works hard they're nice folks. ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO EAT AT! It's only take out but one of the best spots I've found this year. One of the best plates is their PCG special and firecracker chicken
