Visited this restaurant based on impressions from Tripadvisor. The ambience was very nice, cozy, traditional restaurant placed in an old charming building. They had a lot of good choices on the menu. We all had a starter the buscetta and carpatio where both very...good. And the mains tatsted good also. But the reason why this restaurant only get a 3 on the evaluation is the lack of service. Probably undermanned this evening as all tables where occuied. After ordering three different red wines to start with, we where served three glasses of housewine (which was ok but not what we had ordered). It was out first time at Giovanni’s but certanly not the least. Interior and the atmosphere are very cozy and warm, it almost feels like home. The staff is extremely friendly and I love their casual approach. : We had tuna carpaccio, tuna steak, homemade...ravioli with truffles, creme brulé and a Sicilian cannoli. I mean, everything was absolutely delicious, too bad I did not made any photos, the food was too good! I think we found our spot in Nuremberg for great Italian dishes and fresh fish! Well done.
I felt like I have to go there, because some personal reasons and connections with my childhood. I have been there and the instinct was 100% correct. I felt like home (I am Italian), everybody was super polite I had also a small talk with...the owner and he is coming from a city nearby my home town. The food was Amazing, I hade some fresh tagliatelle with Parmesan and mushrooms. Super fast service and nice talk also with the waiters. Totally suggested
A beautiful restaurant with good service and beautiful food. Ordered a bruschetta and a steak for mains. There four pieces of bruschetta which were tasty and appetising. The Steak was on a bed of vegetables accompanied by baked potatoes in a beautiful garlic sauce. The...size of the fillet was amazing and it was just the way I like it medium rare. Beautiful. All in all excellent value, good service and lovely food. Will return again.

Our one night stay in Cristal Hotel, Nuremberg led us to have a taste of this renowned restaurant which is in close vicinity. We tried Pizza with Sardines, Pizza with Tuna Fish, Pizza with Spinach and gorgonzola and also Penne Pasta with Cheese. Well eaten...and enjoyed the environment, staff service and ofcourse the food. A fine dining place to spend and entertain yourself. Recommended...
No maitre d'h at arrival. Shown our table in a nicely spaced room. Warm is not exactly cosy. Nicely lit with drinks area at one end. Waiter attentive, but not overly so. Starters lovely, tasty. Main courses good taste range, beautifully presented and really tasty....Wines lovely. Desert creme brulee disappointing.. other choices might have been better. I would visit again

I came to Germany to buy a car. I ate at this restaurant and the food was just great. Probably the wine should have been better but my choice was to have it by glass... Anyway a cozy, relaxing restaurant with a big terrace... important...during these days of spring.
