Racconto Lounge - Reserva de mesa

We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it...

It's not as good as it used to be. Have been going since it opened and portion sizes used to be decent. Prices have now gone up which is understandable as everywhere is the same but with that portions seem to have shrunk. Friends ordered the bang bang chicken and they got half a fillet each (3 strips of chicken) on top of their noodles. We were all still hungry when we had finished. I used to go quite often but definitely won't be my place of choice anymore. It's a shame as the food is tasty and the staff are lovely but there's just not enough food for the price.

the service was fast and the staff was very friendly. drinks can be ordered directly on the bar or via the app. Eating was excellent. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the very small part of the frying (a small one than the smallest at mcdonald’s) not enough to fill, but they were extremely tasty as the burger who was a normal acceptable size. I would definitely recommend it here. the atmosphere is pleasant and feels airy. it is the feeling of an independent and the efficiency and consistency of a chain.

Absolutely shocking service by the man with the tattoo on his neck. Spoke to us and another couple of elderly ladies with attitude. Came to treat my friend before he goes to Christie’s for chemo and this is the attitude we were met with. The girl serving wasn’t the most friendliest and had no chat. Why choose a job in hospitality if you don’t speak to people. We wasn’t seated for ages and seen several people wait for ages to be seen to and the place was quite. Friendly welcome. Great choice of drinks. Estrella especially excellent. Seating in and out. Wanted to sit outside but it was very hot and would have been better with some umbrellas or shaded areas. We were a large group and tables were pushed together for us inside. Attentive and friendly workers. Good range of tapas with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices. First visit, would go again.

Great experience, staff were wonderful and helpful and the food arrived quickly, which with a young child is always a good thing. Also, the kids food wasn 't hotter than the sun, it was ready to eat straight away too. One odd thing is when using the app you HAVE to select Beans or Peas and then specify you don 't want them in the notes. Be good to have a none option added.

Ive been here many times but this evening I decided to try the shakshuka and I was very disappointed . It seemed like a bit of tinned tomato’s with hard chick peas , herbs and the Best Buy was the poached eggs but £9.95 for this small side dish . The app wouldn’t work for me so I had to order at the bar and felt ignored while the staff dealt with app orders

We were looking for something to eat and didn’t want the normal so we opted for Racconto and so glad we did. Very atmospheric staff are friendly and the food was to die for. We both had Souvlaki and it was just amazing. They let well behaved dogs in too and have snacks for them. Will definitely be back !! Reserva una mesa ahora

Pleasantly surprised with a quick stop breakfast here. We had the Lounge Breakfast and the Lounge Eggs with Salmon and both dishes were faultless. Also had a couple of lattes and the coffee was delicious. We found the staff polite and welcoming, we'll visit again.

Never been to Bury , let alone here and it didn't disappoint... great atmosphere, welcoming staff and delicious food! Deco, seating, styling, all really good.
