Rachawadee Thai Cafe

Tiny little hole in the wall joint. No tables just small lunch counter. Seats maybe 10 people. I ordered a chicken phad thai togo $18.44. Was taken by one of the 6 employees working (3 too many if you ask me) maybe that's why the high prices? Anyways got my order started to head out and realized no utensils so I had to ask server for some. Left got ready to eat and no peanuts and no lime. Never have i had phad thai without either being served with it. As for the chicken portion (6 small pieces smaller and thinner than a quarter) I believe there is more in a single McDonald's chicken nugget. Flavor profile overall was ok.

Well, this thai place is usually spot on. Today, one dish wasn't. The pad thai was off, I know this because I've eaten here many times throughout the years. I ordered 6 dishes, all but 1 dish was cooked consistently by 1 of the 2 cooks at the wok. The 5 dishes were cooked by a lady, and the phad thai was cooked by a younger man. It's shows that each cook cooks differently the same recipes. Maybe he was having an off day, or he needs to review rachawandee recipe book again. Other than that, consistency is key, and they are usually on target. Coconut prawns and all the Currys are amazing, and the staff are always kind.

A coworker recommended this place to us, and while I’m not an expert on authentic Thai food, I have a feeling this comes pretty close. They prepare their dishes VERY SPICY, so be cautious if you're not used to it. I usually rate other restaurants with three stars, but here, I would give it 4.5 stars. The food is excellent; we try a different dish each time we visit (yes, we’re regulars now!). The restaurant itself is small, with just a bar and a few stools, so keep that in mind if you plan to go on a Friday around 6 PM or during sunny days.

ABSOLUTELY the BEST Thai food I've ever eaten! My favorite dishes are the fried rice, chicken pad Thai and chicken pad see ew. Mike and his family are so nice and so accommodating! I cant eat Thai food anywhere else but here! Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant is quite small, but the food is fantastic. I tried the spicy steak salad and would rate the spice level as two stars—it's really spicy! Parking can be a bit challenging at times.

I would give them a 10/5 if I could. This is our new favorite restaurant in Mount Vernon and I cannot wait for our next visit. Follow their spice protocol it is spicier than most.

The best Thai food ever. Made right in front of you. Generous portions, friendly staff, fresh ingredients- meal served piping hot. Highly recommended

This is a charming little hidden gem! It's some of the best Thai food I've ever tasted!
