The food is fantastic, and the ambiance is delightful, but the music is absolutely blaring! It makes it nearly impossible to enjoy a meal with family or friends since we can't hold a proper conversation. I even had to shout my food order to the waiter because he couldn't hear me. I get that it's a restaurant bar, but unless there's a live performance, the volume doesn't need to be so excessive. It gives me a headache by the time I leave. That's why I often opt for online ordering now. I would love to dine in, but it's hard to have a conversation, and we end up leaving with sore throats from shouting at each other. It's definitely something to consider, and it would be an easy fix.
Dinner was great, although we were too full for dessert. The ambiance was very much in line with the typical Colombian vibe; they played great music, people got up to dance, and there was a live band that played until the end of the night. I would have given this place five stars, but the menu was difficult to read at night. The dark font combined with low lighting made it tricky. They also automatically added a gratuity for parties of five or more, but since my group had only four people, it was surprising when it was added. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
The food is average, but the service is disappointing. The delivery was particularly bad; I waited for an hour and 40 minutes, even though I was initially told it would be 30 minutes. They had no idea where the delivery driver was, which was frustrating. This poor experience really detracted from the food itself. I won't be ordering from here again.
We arrived at Raices Colombian, where a young waiter greeted us politely and professionally, offering to go over the menu with us. Although we were hoping to have breakfast, it wasn’t being served at that time. The vegetable soup was good, and the main course was enjoyable as well. Overall, we had no complaints.
