Rancho Chico - Reserva de mesa

We were seated immediately and a pleasant guy brought us chips and salsa right away. I ordered a simple margarita and it barely had any salt on the rim of the glass but it was fine. They only have bottled beer so my husband passed on that. He had a chorizo burrito and the black beans instead of refried beans and he said they were fine. I had steak fajitas that came with rice and refried beans and they were fine. Not hot, just fine. Our server wasn't very friendly but he was fine. I think we're going to skip Mexican food for awhile; just don't like to spend $50+ for meals that are just fine.

This is a plea to the owners. Where is your pride for Mexican Flavors. I had the experience of the worst meal of my life. 2 stale tacos with the butts of tomatoes. You don't even make your tortillas? You don't make your own meats? Beans from a can, and rice that taste like from yesterday? What are you doing? Why? Who ever is in the kitchen clearly has checked out and doesn't give a s. Saddest meal of my whole life.

My niece loves this place, it definitely is one of the better more authentic mexican restaurants in Spokane. I went to the bathroom and sneaked by the kitchen and they were all hispanics cooking thats a good sign. Veggie fajitas are my favorite, they definitely dont chince on the portion sizes. They gave my nephew a giant sombrero for his birthday to wear for pictures that was awesome!

Had a great meal over the weekend. We ordered a Ranch Chico burrito one with Pork and one with beef. Both were wonderful and the service was awesome. The sauce on the burrito was so flavorful with a rich chili flavor and the guacamole really set the meal off. To top it off make sure you pour some of salsa over the top. Perfection. My mom and I stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is decorated in traditional fashion, very clean and welcoming. Our lunch was served quickly. I ordered chicken suizas and my mom ordered chile relleno and a chicken enchilada. Both dishes were delicious! Our server, Augustino, was very prompt, friendly and took great care of us!

Their fish tacos are truly the worst I have ever had: fishy, watery, and no flavor. Our server never asked and never noticed that they went uneaten. I did not make a fuss at the time because my reason for going was to eat lunch with friends, but I will not be returning.

The service here is excellent. The food was not. Chili verde was dry, tasted like cardboard. The chicken wasn't any better. Four entrées, two domestic beers $75...won't be back.
