Our waitress was not only exceptionally kind but also highly knowledgeable about the menu. Her enthusiasm for the food reassured us that we were in good hands. I started my evening with a classic Old Fashioned, allowing the house to prepare it as they saw fit. Among all the Old Fashioneds I've sampled in the Lehigh Valley, Randall's version stood out as one of the best, prompting me to order a second—an excellent start. My wife and I dined at Randall's on the Orchard last evening. The meticulously maintained establishment is set on a bucolic parcel just north of Allentown in Orefield, PA. We like to visit this location at least twice a year to enjoy their succulent seafood and veal offerings. After enjoying drinks and oysters on the half shell, my wife ordered the Chilean seabass which was cooked to perfection. As usual, I chose the veal saltimbocca over linguine, my favorite meal among all I have eaten at any restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. A group of 30 from Pittsburgh ate there on May 17, 2024. The food, in my opinion, was wonderful. The 3 ladies assisting us were great, lighthearted, and just fun. I would definitely eat here again and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for an upscale eatery. Dietary restrictions: I have a lot of dietary restrictions, and they accommodated me to a T. Parking: Upper and lower lots can accommodate many vehicles.
The only downside was the vegetable side; they served us steamed baby carrots, which were unseasoned and didn’t quite fit the fine dining experience. However, the potato of the day, a version of scalloped potatoes, was excellent. For dessert, we had lemon meringue pie and a flourless chocolate torte, both of which were a wonderful conclusion to an amazing meal! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. This was our first time eating at Randall's and we were very impressed. My husband had the seafood combination and I had the shrimp/scallop scampi both so delicious. Bonnie was our server and she was amazing. She had so many great suggestions from drinks to dessert. They also acknowledged my birthday and our anniversary very sweetly! We will be back!!!
My wife and I love Randall’s. This is hands down our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is consistently outstanding; and the service is great too. It’s hard to find a local restaurant that has consistent food. This is a great place for a date night or family gathering. The Veal Snitzel and fried calamari are amazing!
I was with several friends on 5/18 dining in the tent room.The service and food were amazing. We we never rushed and the food was served at an enjoyable pace. The wine selection was excellent for pair to the menu. It was a bit of a drive to get there but well worth it. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
We waited an hour and a half for our food after placing our order. The house salads took an incredible 50 minutes to arrive. The service was extremely slow, and the food itself was disappointing.
