my wife has decided to bring me to dinner and was not for a few years. Food quality good and portion side large, but quite expensive compared to comparable restaurants in nordessex. service slow to start 30mins before ordering, but better after that apart from a long break between net and the side also do not appear explained that side large enough were ordered for a few so over. Beverage menu also very limited no mocktails for no drinker etc. I'm sorry that I don't come back again.
5 stars Excellent food, excellent Service !We have been coming here for years and have told many people that it is the best restaurant in Essex. Finally it’s getting through. Thank you Sarah for your hospitality, a friend coming to this for what would of been his late wife pat’s 75th birthday. As usual you made home and his family feel extra special and I thank you dearly for that. You are all so lovely and the food is by far the best in Essex.
What a little discovery, menu, cooking, setting, atmosphere and to so importantly, the staff, professional, friendly happy to help, happy in their work and its so telling. Whoever is running and training them needs a huge compliment, so many restaurants miss this mark, even if the rest are great.Made for a great birthday meal, thank you all, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning food.We booked a meal for 7 of us including 3 fussy Little eaters and left clean plates all round.The staff couldn't do anymore if they tried!
I have been visiting for a long time, so today with my wife to lunch, nice quiet atmosphere, friendly staff immersed. the lunch was easy.
