I visited Rang Mahal a few years ago and had a great experience, so I was happy to come back again, this time using a Living Social Coupon. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with everything we selected being delicious. After three courses, we were very full. The voucher clearly outlined the menu options available to us, and we had no issue with seafood not being included in the deal. For dessert, we tried the Gulab Jamun, which was made in-house and not bought from outside markets. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was not great. They got my order wrong, refused to correct it during dinner time, and would not give me a refund so I could order something else. I only found out my order was wrong when I called to inquire about the late delivery, which arrived an hour late. The food was not good - it was lukewarm and the rice was terrible. I have never had such awful rice in my life. In the end, I was left with the wrong order and no dinner.

Ordered takeaway. Promised raita green sauce over the phone and even though requested it not one included at all. Dried out, shrivelled tandoori prawns, dry tandoori chicken. Disappointing. Main course ok, nothing special. Very expensive for what we got. Also a bed of raw onions...came with every entree. Yuk!

I went to this restaurant with a large group of friends and was surprised by the $22 price. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were small and I didn't feel like I got my money's worth. The only complimentary items were papadums, and there weren't enough of them.
