Rasthaus Zugspitzblick

We have stopped off here a few times for the spectacular views. We won't be bothering again. The waitress in the rasthaus is the most obnoxious person I have have ever had the misfortune of meeting in the food service industry. We had a mediocre meal and when we asked for the bill we attempted to pay by card and we were told cards were no accepted. Not used to this in this day and age we did not have the available cash to pay the bill and the waitress demanded to see what cash we had in our wallets/purses. Once she realised we did not have enough a card machine magically appeared. This was both unprofessional and embarrassing for the guests we had travelling with us.

Not bad for basically a rest area restaurant. Just had a coffee and apple strudel, very nice too. The serve hot meals and soup but for a lite bite was just enough. Clean and friendly staff. Would advise not to go in just to use the toilets. You will be told no in no uncertain terms. Paid toilets are very clean and worth the euro to shell out.

Der Ausblick ist super . Das Essen... hmmm! Es ist halt ein Rasthaus ! Essen war ok bis auf den Salat der mit nur ein paar Tropfen Dressing angerichtet war und die Tomaten und Gurken waren schon an den Rändern vertrocknet, dass muss nicht sein . Kaiserschmarren war super dafür

Pretty cool place to stop and have a beer or coffee on your way to the Zugspitze lift or the Neuschwanstein castle. Or if you're not hungry or thirsty just stop for a quick photo op!

Stunning view! Best to visit while sun is shining. Having a tasty lunch with such amazing overview inspires.
