We finally visited Razza after reading glowing reviews and hearing from friends. I was almost afraid it would not live up o what I'd heard (which happens sometimes when a place is over hyped If anything, this place is way under hyped. We did takeout because we had our dog (we were enjoying a lovely Saturday walking along the JC waterfront and Liberty State Park but we probably could have eaten there because there is so much outdoor seating and no one seemed to mind when we were sitting out there waiting for our order. The place is beautifully but subtly decorated and laid out with plenty of seating. The staff is just over and above nice, helpful and welcoming. the young lady at the front desk who took our order could not have been more pleasant but everyone else I encountered was too. We ordered a Margherita Pizza, Calabrese Pizza, a Meatball Appetizer and a loaf of their baguette (all as kindly suggested by the hostess thank you . I am a pizza fanatic and have had great pizza all over the world, but especially in the NYC Metro area where a pizza place has loads of competition. This was easily in my top 3 of all time, possibly even my new favorite (albeit a bit of a drive to get there for me . Everything about it....the crust, the toppings, the proportions was absolutely perfect. And those meatballs, spread over that delicious crunchy crust (soft on the inside bread was other worldly. this place is worth visiting, no matter where you live, even if you have no other reason to go to. But you can also make a day of it on the beautiful Hudson riverfront ant top it off with late lunch or early dinner at this man made wonder of the world. Outstanding, just outstanding.
