We ate there on a Friday night, primarily because our first choice for dinner the Olive Garden next door was packed. We were early and got in without a wait. I did not have high expectations, since their reputation is not great and my experience in the past (years ago) has not been good. I was pleasantly surprised. A good kitchen can be partially judged by how they cook calamari. It is very easy to get wrong, and you have to pay attention to it. My Calamari appetizer was above average and not overcooked. Just as it should be, and they were very tasty. The pre buttered biscuits (with a hint of cheese) were outstanding fresh and warm. Again, exactly as they should be. My wife and I both had Salmon prepared differently. My blackened salmon was outstanding. Again, not overcooked and the sauce was excellent. My wife's salmon was also prepared correctly and of good quality. The service was attentive, and the ability to do a self checkout (machine on the table) was appreciated. Overall an excellent experience which was a great surprise. Good job Red Lobster.
