Red Lobster South Plainfield

I realize that Red Lobster is a chain and can't be compared fairly to a fine dining restaurant. However, you can't go wrong during Lobster fest or other special promotions. We recently went for a promotion of choose 4 items to create your plate (one lobster dish, like a Maine lobster tail or lobster alfredo, one entree like a 6 oz steak, and two shrimp items such as coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp or shrimp scampi. This came with salad, two sides, and hot biscuits. There are some regular items on the menu that are always of good quality/value like the mixed shellfish pot with pasta and garlic, fried seafood platter, lunch time fish, shrimp or lobster tacos or the Choose Your Own...

red lobster south plainfield, nj is a good choice! we ordered two very good meals, the seafarer firm and the marine firm (both in the price range of $30.00). a plate was fried shrimp, grilled maine lobster ****, garlic shrimp, and a spit of 4 fantastic scallops. the other was fried shrimp, the spits of the skallops, and lachs stabbed with Langostino sauce. each came with a choice of two sides and the cheddar bay kekse. our choices were garden salad and kartoffels. everything was very good! our waiter was new, but very concerned about doing a good job; He checked with us several times, and I also heard him ask someone else if his cocktail had come as he demanded. this customer was also very s...

I was there with family to visit my daughter who attends Rutgers. They didn’t have biscuits for no one (my daughter says that happened the last time she was there too). I made a big deal of it that I wanted them before my entree and that’s when the server emerged with them (kind of sneakily). I heard others around us complaining about the same thing as well as their dirty table. The food was just okay. I could tell mine and my wife’s was sitting because it was lukewarm. The bathroom also had no paper towels smh. My daughters said there was little in the ladies room. Also there was so much confusion checking in for my reservation. I saw people pretty frustrated. This location is not well run....

after sitting through the host no one came to our table to wait for us 30 minutes. several customers who sit immediately after receiving service. we felt like going out, but I decided to get up and finally ask for service. the man who waited for us was very friendly and apologetic. eating came quite fast and overall it was very good. we never got the Cheddar Biscuits and because we waited so long for us to notice it only after our meal. not sure we'll be back to this place soon. First time ordering red lobster in many many years. Had the Shrimp Your Way Choose Four and it was absolutely delcious. Portion sizes were really good. Price wasnt terrible. To go packaging was good.

The coconut shrimp was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised to receive extra biscuits! Thank you, it is always appreciated.
