After Our “Big Texan” fiasco; my partner and me decided to try somewhere off the beaten path. The service was kind and friendly; atmosphere was perfectly Texas but not overbearing. Home made bread as an appetizer, bbq sauce that is the mix of everything you want in a BBQ Sauce. My partner had the Texas Patty melt that was perfectly sized and was regretfully served on toast rather than the jalapeño bun at her request. Seasoned welled, juicy and served with homemade fries that hit the spot. I got the 2 piece catfish and mash potatoes; that were seasoned perfectly and were sold to me by our waitress. Mash Potatoes were lacking but alas the one flaw against so many positives. ACCEPT THE COBBLER....
We were traveling back home along I-40 and really didn't want fast food so we stopped by here for lunch. We were shocked by how amazing the food was. The catfish and burger had the absolute best flavor. Oh and you get cobbler with your meal, which was delicious. Very affordable and our waitress was super sweet. We will keep this place in mind next time we're in the area. Superb quality and perfectly cooked steak. Amazing staff, great location and complimentary desert. A hidden gem along the I-40. If we ever will be back in this area we will make a point to come back for more! After being let down by Big Texan twice, we decided to try this place for the first time. We make the journey from Ohio to San Diego every year, and this place offers much better service and delicious food. If you haven't tried it yet, do so - you won't be disappointed. The service was rated 5 out of 5, the atmosphere a 4, and the food a 4. The price per person for dinner ranged from $30 to $50.

Great service! Delicious food. Cute decor. Would recommend to everyone! The only complaint—if we have one—is the bread was not soft or warm, but it had a good taste. That’s the only reason for the four; otherwise, it would be a 5 across the board! Great find off I-40 and just a few miles through a historic Route 66 town. Excellent selection and delicious food. Stop here! Free cobbler with every meal. The catfish special at this restaurant is amazing. To be honest, everything on the menu is great. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
