My experience at the Red Rooster was without question a negative one, but what made it especially infuriating was that it would be SO easy to fix some of these problems so easy, you wonder why it wasn't done before I walked in the door. I came here withmy mom for dinner this week. This is a place we often pass on the way to downtown Ridgefield for lunch, and from outside itlooks like a more upscale eatery that would have a great Sunday brunch. I was surprised when I looked at the website andrealized it was more mainstream/blue collar, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does make me wonder why they ultimatelywent in that direction when they had such a gorgeous building to play around...
I just ordered an artisanal cheeseburger for my daughter for delivery via Uber eats. The first order never arrived bc of an issue with Uber so I had to reorder. Well, I don?t know if they were upset that we reordered or that the first order wascanceled (NOT by me, again) but the burger and fries that just came are inedible. Someone literally poured salt all overeverything so we cannot eat it. I mean it?s just ridiculous and completely inedible and such a complete waste! Unbelievable.Don?t waste your money. Oh AND the burger was put in the to go box upside down. Clearly on purpose. I wonder what kind ofestablishment allows this happen?
What a horrible place. Ugly, cheaply built pub interior without any charm violates the beauty of this truly elegant historic colonial building. I know a Ridgefield business owner who lived in this building as a child 70 years ago. Need a pub night inRidgefield? Go instead to the super good 5-star pub experiences at The Hideaway and Ancient Mariner! This used to be one of theonly 3 elegant (white table cloth, candles, knowledgeable wine steward, owner(s) on premises) restaurants in Ridgefield. Servicewas very poor. Extremely loud bar crowd. I could go on, but I think you get my point already.

It was a ridiculous and frustrating experience, and a total waste of money. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Additionally, the burger was just thrown in the box, which is concerning.

A laid back atmosphere. Very old barn style meets industrial. Food was really good and the menu is reasonably priced with an excellent selection. They have booth and table seating as well as the bar. Nice place to bring the family. I saw elderly people to toddlers here and everyone seemed happy. Wait staff was great too!

He had heard positive reviews about this restaurant. However, both meals were quite underwhelming. It felt like a slightly fancier version of Applebee's, but with a much higher price tag. It seems like in this region, people are willing to shell out more money for mediocre food and drinks. It's a bit puzzling.
Amazing food! Had the burger my first time and it was excellent. Back with the Fam and had ribs, super delicious! I also recommend her French onion soup! So happy this place is here, I'm always in Ridgefield and it's nice to have another option!

Pricey, but interesting food. Ordered the elk burger and a Mediterranean salad. Both tasted excellent. Ordered Bellinis and were given mimosas. Our waitress was happy to fix the mistake when I pointed it out to her.
Had heard good things. Both meals were very underwhelming. Almost Applebees but more expensive. Far more expensive. Must be a regional thing to overpay for mediocre food and drinks. Idk.
