The food here is really good. Well cooked, fresh seafood in ample quantities. Great situation overlooking the harbour. The owner is quite a character. I recommend the Aioli (a local favourite, the best in La Ciotat) or the 'Tapas ' which is actually a huge plate of cooked seafood (prawns in shell, steamed mussels, fried cuttlefish and bulots) with home made chips great value (see pic). Beware, though, it can get very busy and the kitchen is small so if it 's full service can be very, very slow. If you arrive early, though, you 'll be fine. Most of the bad reviews are due to the slow service.
Awful night, the place is very dirty and the owner is very rude. I’m allergic to garlic so I asked some plate without. She basically said I could leave. Anyway I took one grilled orata and asked another waiter to cook without garlic and he ensured me there wasn’t. Beside that we had to wait almost one hour between ordered and receive our plates. Result: I throw up the whole night. And my husband also didn’t feel so well. Moreover, they give us the bill of another table and they pretend to speak English but actually they don’t... I don’t suggest this place at all. Awful!!!
I read here several bad reviews according to the service. I think, it's because the boss appears a bit rough and she doesn't like waste time on small talk. But when you learn her to know you will find out that she has a great heart and a passion for her restaurant. Our food was delivered always in an appropriate time, even during the peak hours. The quality of the food was also good. I've been about 4 times there and would visit this place again.
