I was craving for Asian food tonight, so I decided to try this restaurant after reading a lot of online positive comments. I was pleasantly surprised indeed!! It wasn't busy when I arrived. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the curry katsu don which was really delicious. The rice was soft and pillowy. The curry was so tasty that I had to order extra rice to soak it up. The katsu (deep fried port cutlet) had a crunchy crust, and the meat was just a tad dry. The price was very reasonable ($11.50+GST) considering this is downtown. Overall I enjoyed my dinner very much and will come back for sure.
My husband and I were there for a birthday party. The owner opened up the restaurant for just our party as they normally close at 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The food was amazing - and it kept on coming out until we were full. There was japanese pizza, salmon rice balls, soup with udon noodles, vegetarian plate (similar to Buddha's Feast), couple of salads, fried chicken sushi wrap, tacos with a curry dip and more. It was a fantastic smogesborg of food. The saki was delicious. We will definitely go back for dinner. The food was very authentic Japanese with a very relaxing atmosphere. Decor is simple.
Budget eating, surprisingly good. We ordered Tuna & Mayos Rice Burger, Katsu Curry and JAPA Stampede Burger. Tuna & Mayos Rice Burger is indeed rice with canned tuna, light food and good pricing. Katsu Curry offers very good quality deep fried tendered pork chop and some vegetables which Japanese curry normally doesn't come with, good pricing as well. Burger is good size as well. Store is very small but surprisingly good Katsu Curry, highly recommended.The only bad thing is the store is facing south side, so it's getting hot at noon.
We visited this restaurant tonight prior to attending the theatre. It is very small but clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Prices are very good and the quality of the food was high. I particularly recommend the rice bowl, which was a filling and delicious potpourri of flavours and tastes. As well the dessert donut was tasty and quite unique. A great place to stop for lunch or dinner and very reasonably priced. We will visit again for sure.

Small Japanese Cafe in Downtown. Their curry dishes are excellent. Good deals during happy hours. We also try the Sashimi salad, which is very fresh. Definitely go back!
A casual place for hugging out with friends within budget. We order a bento box and a rice japa burger to share between two girls. The portion was good.

Regularly go here for lunch. Quick service and good food! Lots of different options and variety. Will keep coming back
