Refuge de Mayen - Reserva de mesa

The restaurant is located in a beautiful and remote mountain area in Leysin, Switzerland. We booked a table for three. Shortly after our arrival a group of 30 people arrived at the restaurant. Despite the fact that there were only 2 employees, we didn't have to wait. The staff was exceptional, ran all the time (carefully) to ensure that all their meals get without delay. Good food, but missed some more Swiss meals. They serve Belgium beer... great choice, but not expected in such an environment.

Lovely stop off on a long walk today. Friendly, helpful owners who even took our euros when we didn't have enough money! Their croutes de mayern was delicious I think it's their own speciality and it made a perfect mid walk lunch. The views of the surroundings are, of course beautiful and in the grounds of the cafe There is a cow shed and duck enclosure, all really clean and the animals are clearly well kept. There is also a small play area for children.

Very nice place to take a break while snowboarding. The only thing is, when you are here, you can't go back to the slopes of Berneuse, you have to go down to the lower parts of the region and go back up with the ski lift. Normely that is no problem, but this week it was to warm, so the snow on the lower parts was very bad. We dessidet to stay, the rest of the week on the higher parts and food not come here anymore.

Nous y sommes allés très souvent. C'est un vrai bonheur de s'y arrêter pour une pause sur la terrasse quand on skie ou lors d'une randonnée pédestre depuis Leysin. C'est un self service, on y est accueilli avec le sourire et la bonne humeur. Je n'ai pas essayé les croûtes, par contre la fondue est excellente, de même que les soupes et les tartes.Je recommande pour la pause de midi. Reserva una mesa ahora

We stopped here for a well deserved lunch on our mountain walk. Simple menu, but the best, the fondue was lovely so glad we got to have a fondue in Switzerland in the most amazing surroundings. Their are major ski lift building going on but not a problem. Lovely service and great surroundings. And dog friendly too

Between hiking the Tour de Mayen and the Tour d’Ai, this place is quite the only place for some refreshments, whatever it costs, you have to take it. However, the staff were very nice and even some information about the summits.

Dégustation sur les pistes, c'est un vrai régal ! Une très bonne adresse sur les pistes de ski à un prix abordable.
