back from a week of family stay and in the middle of winter at the porcherey refuge. this place is simply magical and the team that takes care of it in the image of the surrounding mountain: solid, endearing, austere, hard at work, and especially driven by passion that only allows to make such a place run all year round. Bravo and thank you. the outdoor terrace view is one of the most beautiful of the white mountain, the excellent cuisine and the charming team. sleeping on the floor are very comfortable for a refuge and the hot shower a real luxury at this altitude. We visited for lunch after asking the staff at our ski hire shop in Megeve where they go on the slopes to eat and drink. This place is just off the normal ski route and you’d never find it if you didn’t know where it was exactly, it’s in a cluster of about 7 chalets and the view is amazing! It has a rustic and magical feel, tiny kitchen and very limited menu but delicious food and drink nevertheless. When we arrived we double checked they took card which they don’t but said we could eat and drop the cash in the following day. We said not to worry but they insisted...does this ever happen anywhere!? Well not in England that’s for sure! Thank you Porcheres :
everything is exceptional, summer and winter. the setting in the middle of the pastures, a breathtaking view of the white mountain, exquisite, simple and copyy food, a lovely, attentive and attentive team. perfect to rest, quiet, to sleep also after a long walk or simply to relax in the middle of nature. I know this restaurant as the Refuge de Porcherey. The name here may therefore be wrong! It is an 'off-piste ' old farmhouse high above St Nicolas de Veroce. It is family run and the food is fantastic but please book! Otherwise i think the owner and staff get nervous. It is a refuge that is also open in summer and an alternative route for the TMB. It has one of the best mountain views anywhere.

I'm spending this summer the either saying manager is completely on the street not to hello no smile, fortunately that the waitress the cook are there with the smile thank you to them, a question arises how can we leave it to be said keeper of refuge in this beautiful place I who is the habit of his places. changing this two-ball guard who refuses customers while there's room is lamentable
while we climbed for 2h we were very badly welcomed!!! no hello, ex officio "if you didn't book we are complete!!! tampis c of our fault we didn't phone us we understand, but when we asked for a consumption for us refreshing outside without occupying the tables, just on the grass to not generate beer, it would have been rejected!!! beautiful image of the france
Incontestablement la meilleure table d’altitude de la région , qui se risque à des recettes originales ,toujours fraîches et qui régénèrent les forces : une étape qui se conquiert à pied !! Un incontournable ou l’on revient toujours avec joie et où l’accueil chaleureux dans ce cadre idyllique mérite une note au top !
In the ski season and in summer this mountain restaurant is worth skiing/ walking to. A simple but tasty menu in stunning surroundings. Need to book as not many tables indoors and only 8 outside. Has changed hands recently but new owners friendly and meal as good as ever

Une deuxième visite au Porcherey, cette fois avec les enfants et ce ne sera pas la dernière tant le lieu, la cuisine et l 'accueil sont parfaits. C 'est méga hyper bien le Porcherey ! ont dit Louise, 8 ans et Rose 6 ans...on ne peut pas dire mieux....
After two happy hours arrive at the refuge then after our meal of the unique total illusion heats up at the price of a gourmet restaurant. damage that the owners took over a magnificent site to scam the mountain lovers
