We ordered a take away which in short was awful. Part of the platter starter, the kebab, was so tough the knife bounced off when cutting. The mains were swimming in oil, highly coloured and absolutely tasteless, unless you count the salt which was there in abundance. Before leaving a negative review I called the restaurant to see about a refund, the manager was extremely unhelpful and said that no one else had complained which I explained wasn't my problem as I was, he was very flippant and told me to contact just eat if I wanted a refund, tried this to be told that need to contact the restaurant. I had an evening meal here whilst away with work. The place was empty when I arrived, I decided to still go in as it was getting late and there wasn’t much else around. I was seated and given a menu. I inquired about food allergens, as I have a number and was told what I could have and what I should avoid. The food arrived fairly quickly, it was quite bland compared to other curry/Balti houses that I have been to. The food was a good sized portion, but way too much onion. The only other person that came through the door whilst I was there was their delivery driver. I should have taken the empty restaurant as a sign. There was no nice spice aroma to the place, there was no atmosphere at all.
Just had a takeaway delivery for daughters partners birthday. Food was bland and tasteless most of meal went in the bin. Paneer and chick peas haven’t a clue where cheese was. Prawn curry runny and prawns were shrimps and so small. Usually eat in Simla Hullbridge. 100% difference. Food is excellent in Simla and disappointed as couldn’t get a delivery Will never order from Regency Spice again
Good food spoilt by very slow poor service, hidden costs. No boiled rice despite a very long wait for main course, had to accept pilau rice. Glass of water requested with wine was £3.50 for 750mls and complementary chocolate was melted. Empty restaurant yet food was reasonable. Need to sort out slow service, lack of choice and hidden costs. Had the nerve to ask for a tip.

Had a great night here with friends. The service was its great normal service, food hot didn’t have to wait at all. Atmosphere here is relaxed comfortable. It’s my go to Indian restaurant. Never fails to please. Keep it up guys ! A+
Empty restaurant but seated into a corner of the room. The seats were torn. The service ok, but the food wasn't the best. It didn't have any of the rich curry and spice aromas. Tried but won't return
Our home cooked curry’s are better with real whole ingredients like coconut milk real garlic spices etc There dishes are are sugar ,dye food flavouring extracts
Been coming here for over 10 years, this place is spot on everytime. Food is delicious and staff are so great. Can't recommend enough. Mike.
