Shopping in Montlucon on June we decided to have an unplanned lunch and as parking in the tree lined Avenue Marx Dormay is always easy and free between noon and pm we decided to eat at the Taverne Karlsbrau which have tables...under huge parasols situated by the fountains on the avenue. We were welcomed by a lovely young waitress and seated in the shade. I had a beer and my wife a glass of house Rose whilst perusing the menu. nice and modern frame, the reception and the correct service on the other hand, the dishes are not made home and small flat on my dish: the seafood ravioli that are I think of canned and for just accompaniment a tiny teaspoon of melted pears while I expected to have at least beautiful spoons finally it is a not accompaniment of a plate ! all the same and no homemade dessert .... a little expensive for lunch I don't think I'm going back to this restaurant
a quality-price ratio of brewery and a visual gastronomic way that makes you want to eat. about taste, it depends on the dishes, more or less good. dishes are not at the height of a gourmet restaurant. serve fast for a Saturday noon. servers listening to the client. calm atmosphere.
first visit today in this restaurant and we spent a very good time with family. We also ate very well, a quality cuisine, a very good meat, we really see that everything is done home and in bonus a quick service and listening staff. We'll be back with pleasure.
