Extremely, EXTREMELY busy on a Monday night, I guess because their Marylebone branch was closed for refurbishment. We’ve been trying to come to this restaurant for years now but can never go due to the massive queues, so we thought we’d try on a Monday and at a branch in the middle of nowhere, surely no one would go…. But how wrong we were. Super packed and massive queues (although as we were 2 it moved quickly for us). The staff, as another reviewer perfectly put it, are very impersonal and you can’t even ask them for something without them huffing and puffing and I get it it’s a fast paced restaurant and they were busy so they didn’t have time to waste, but you can be nice to your customer...

I don't see why everyone raves about this restaurant. They don't take reservations, so you have to wait outside in line for average food that is overpriced. The steak is just okay and the overall food quality is nothing special. The main attraction seems to be the set menu which includes a small salad, dry baguette, a basic steak, and a lot of fries, all served on small plates. You get a second serving of steak and fries as well. The steak comes with a small amount of their special sauce. The atmosphere is hectic and it's hard to get the attention of the servers. The service is quick but not very friendly, and they charge an extra 10% for it. Overall, not worth the wait.

Probamos el menú que tienen , primero una ensalada clásica con nueces y una vinagreta de mostaza y después la carne de buena calidad y buen punto de cocción la salsa tipo café paris muy buena acompañado de patatas fritas casera , lo mejor que hacen es un segundo pase repitiendo plato para que la carne no se te enfríe mientras comes tranquilo, precio medio 30/35 libras por persona.

This location is always full and I feel like the waitresses hurry your meal as much as possible, even putting food on your plate without asking which made me eat it cold. The only nice thing about this location is that you wait in line inside but I still prefer to go to Marleybone and have nice waitresses. Reserva una mesa ahora

DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT. Delicious steak, crispy chips, and salad with a flavorful mustard dressing. The meringue dessert was a bit difficult to eat, as it was chewy and got stuck in our teeth. The service from the ladies was warm and welcoming!

Sit down. Have some wine. Eat some steak. Good to go. No fluff or faff. No butter with that fantastic baguette either. Great steak frites. Would go back often if I worked in the city, less so otherwise.

must be when I'm in town. the food is excellent and the secret sauce delicious. the service is also very good. the only problem is the waiting time at lunchtime

Fantastic as always. Came over to City from Marylebone as that one was shut for a refurb, but well worth the trip
