I visited relais d’arpette on my tour du mont blanc tmb) thru-hike in august 2019. this hotel/hut is one of the few huts on the tmb that has an additional camping site for hikers. the beautiful thing is that wanderer also the common ones. meals can be served in the evening. most hikers arriving in champex will probably use the campsite on the western edge of the village. but still for half an hour, they reach the relais d’arpette, which makes camp much better on a huge grass field. showers are good and clean, and the common meal €20) was good. I would recommend to anyone wandering on the tmb who spend the night here to be a little closer to the demanding stance of fenetre d’arpette the next...
I love to come here every time I visit Champex. After one of the nicest hikes in Champex (petit ruisseau you arrive in Val d'Arpete were you find this restaurant. With an terrace overlooking the whole valley this is a beautiful spot as well as...in Summer as in Winter. Service is friendly, food is typical swiss. Even the coffee is not bad (don;t order cappuccino is Switzerland!! . Children can play in the playground. not 5 stars since it's a little overpriced (what isn;t in Switzerland nowadays??
just opened with new owners, we enjoyed traditional mountaineering dishes with locally produced products and domestically smoked fishing in a stunning place with breathtaking view. we had delivered the 'lake salad' and 'croute au fromage' both delicious and extremely fast. charming welcome, mountain restaurant menu...and efficient service with stunning landscape. good choice of walks after lunch and bet on the upper floor if they are willing to stay one night or more. Good to see you!
Don't go here by car unless you can't walk. Take the petit ruisseau trail. And then after a 30/45 minute hike you come in another world, the Val d'Arpette. Here you go for a nice lunch, a dinner or just for a drink. Service is...always friendly, kids can play on the playground. And parents can use the free wifi to check their mail. I come here in summer after a hike and in winter after a descent of the piste rouge. Ow and the menu is simple, but the food is good! Real swiss ambiance! Reserva una mesa ahora

I stayed here in the night before I went on the 100 miles walk of the tour du mont blanc (tmb). I have a private room and it was quiet and beautiful. eating was plentiful and the community flours were perfect to get into the spirit of tmb. the meadow and mountain views are beautiful. it is a little a hike uphill from champex lac, but it is worth it.
