For starters, I tried the goat cheese pie and the chicken liver pâté with apple; both dishes looked and tasted fantastic. I had the pâté at The Ivy before, but it was clear that this one was of superior quality. Moving on to the mains, I ordered the steak and duck breast. Both were cooked to a perfect pink and tender texture, accompanied by thoughtfully chosen sides and sauces. The quality of the meat was truly Michelin-level. On my last visit, I opted for the cheese board for dessert, featuring a perfect selection of four cheeses sourced from Devon, along with a generous portion of fruit, crackers, and bread. Visited in 15th April for an anniversary meal and I’m pleased to say it was fantastic. My wife is a vegetarian and this unfortunately can sometimes lead to an excellently described dish on a menu being disappointingly bland when served, this was absolutely not the case in Rendezvous. The Bubble Squeak was delicious and the accompanying veg were amazing. I opted for the Rib Eye Steak and it was right up there with the best steak I’ve had in any restaurant, so tender and perfectly cooked. The restaurant is on the lower ground floor but we got a seat next to the windows so we had natural sunlight. For the starter I had wasabi cured salmon and my partner had pan seared scallops with hog pudding. Both were well presented. the salmon was lightly cured and orange worked surprisingly well with it. I guess it is still in the citrus family but a bit sweeter than lemon. I didn’t know what hog pudding was but was meaty and juicy and combined well with the sweetness of the scallops.

Great food on Saturday. haven't been in a while but glad was just as good as ever. Only shame was we didn't do dessert as had a few too many wines! Great service , great food
