Republic - Reserva de mesa

Republic is a great restaurant. I hadn’t visited since before the pandemic, but my wife and I recently went there to celebrate a belated birthday for a friend. We enjoyed the Branzino, which was excellent. Since my wife and I typically avoid most seafood, it was a pleasant surprise to find something appealing on the menu. My friend raves about their oyster happy hour and believes their oysters surpass those at Old Ebbitt Grill, which is one of my personal favorites. While the prices can be a bit steep overall, the quality of the food is top-notch. I also remember they had some delicious hot chocolate options during the hot chocolate crawl back in 2019. We would love to visit this place again...

I had a fantastic Cinco de Mayo celebration with my sister. I made shrimp tacos that were incredible! The rock steak was very flavorful and came with a delicious sauce, and they even made an extra half portion just for us! The Korean fried chicken was delicious and so tender, with a delightful seafood coating. We also decided to add oysters because, why not? They were freshly delicious. Julio was an amazing bartender, always ready with another drink, and the setting was great. Francisco was also wonderful and worked hard all night, even though he was a bit shy. This was my first time here, but it definitely won't be my last!

We wanted an outside table but the wait was too long. We had oysters at the bar and they were tasty. We ended up inside. Menu is on the smallish side but there is a little something for everyone. I had the veggie platter my friend had the fish. It was tasty. Had brunch here also. Was busy but not too crowded they have a back deck that is partially shaded. There is street parking and parking behind the restaurant. The happy hour menu is only available at the bar during brunch. Try the biscuits!

I absolutely love this place! The happy hour is fantastic, and I can't get enough of the oysters! The staff is incredibly friendly, and even though I was misguided about the happy hour times, they still honored the happy hour prices for my food, which I thought was very kind. Republic is fantastic! We enjoyed a wonderfully diverse selection of dishes, including grilled oysters, salmon, and a chicken sandwich, along with some delicious cocktails. Everything was incredible, and the atmosphere was vibrant and lively.

sa on the bar had a great side car cocktail, the deviled eggs were light and balanced I enjoyed a job and almost got another. the service of ian and the rest of the crew was great.

Cool, relaxed interior with a gorgeous bar, friendly staff and a great menu makes for a great time. I enjoy their cocktails and their happy hour bar menu is great. Great spot.
