This restaurant came highly recommended so we were very disappointed by the service and slow response to how late our meal was this past Saturday evening (8/3). We were seated promptly 7:30 but received our food at 9:15. In between, we waited about 15 minutes for a server to come and take a drink order, another 20 minutes to take our food and another 40 minutes to receive or order... two sandwiches and a salad. In that time, there was no server to check on us, refresh our water or see if we needed any more drinks. The atmosphere is loud but that is fine, just know that before you go and are hoping for a quiet evening. The service was nice. The service were very friendly and overall helpful. The food was priced a bit on the high side for the quality. I ordered a burger called The Revolution . It wasn 't very well seasoned and it was a bit on the overcooked side. I ordered it medium rare and it was more like medium well. The bacon on the burger was super tasty. The burger came with an egg on top that also was over cooked. I am from out of town.Was there with a local friend. We ordered a lamburger each Medium well. My friends came correct. Mine was completely rare. We waited an inordinately long time for our food to begin with. Because they were very busy and we were patient. I asked that my burger be taken back and cooked correctly. And the waiter took my whole plate, not even leaving me my fries to munch. Instead of putting me at the front of the line, he said that there were 12 orders in front of mine and was treating it as a new order. Finally, we just had him take my bill off of the total bill, but they should have given my friend his also for the unprofessional way we were treated.
First off all, Berkley! If you don’t know, figure it out. BERKLEY ROCKS!!! In keeping with the vibe, Republica does, too. Chill, comfy, great menu: check it out! It’s a cozy size but the fare busts at the seams! The menu items’ descriptions will make you rhapsodic and your starter, hand held, salad or entree choice will not disappoint. Cocktails? Yeah, and they’re ALL that! Service? May I introduce you to Caleb and Christine? You’ll feel like you have the place to yourself. GREAT FOOD. GREAT SERVICE. GREAT LOCATION. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

A bit pricy for what you get. $7 of onion rings was like 6 rings, which weren't even all rings. The tots mostly just rated like burnt, but alright enough. The burgers were small. Not bad, but I spent $75 after tip and didn't even have any leftovers. The folks were nice enough, and the place was mostly clean except for crumbs on the seat. Might go back to try something different, but not in a hurry.
I 'll be back to this place. Caught my eye online as being near a business meeting. It worked out great for a casual bite after work with our associates. Our local client had never been there. Diverse menu of interesting offerings definately not a pedestrian food, but not super Far Out either. Christine took very good care of us, the staff all seem like folks you 'd want to have a beer with.
Pretty disappointed about this experience. The restaurant was busy, which I completely understand delayed service. However, we were sat for 30 minutes and were never acknowledged by the server. Instead, she acknowledged the table next to us that was sat 30 minutes after we were. We left immediately after that.
Keep trying to find something good in my neighborhood place but disappointed every time....
