Today we had the experience of dining at A Tribord overlooking the marina at Lattes, outside Montpellier. Fabulous location and an interesting menu. We have eaten in many places of varying styles on our travels. At this place we met a waitress who seemed to...lack all ability at communication if you were not an obvious friend or local. She quickly established that we spoke English we made some jokes about it and as they advertise that they also communicate in that language we hoped we would be OK. Bon restaurant sur port Marianne, cadre agréable et cuisine inventive, très bien présentée de l'entrée au dessert.On peut cependant regretter le service désorganisé et peu professionnel des deux serveurs débordés avec cinq ou six tables occupées. tensions entre eux et c'est les clients qui attendent, quasiment une demi heure pour avoir le menu, après tout s'est bien passé mais on avait un peu l'air de les déranger. Heureusement une jeune fille compétente et aimable est venue les aider pour ces quelques tables en fin de service et nous sommes partis sur une bonne note, nous nous sommes levés, avons dit deux fois au revoir sans aucun regard ni réponse des deux serveurs, ça fait plaisir! la jeu...
After two weeks on the Canal Du Midi we had a celebratory lunch in A Tribord. The location was relaxing next to the marina so we selected the pink tented restaurant and started with a local rose'. Two high flying ducks landed on the plate...followed by two grass feed beasts and this was lunch at its best for four. The service was quick and friendly as the restaurant began to fill and we declined desert as we were well fed and satisfied. A Tribord is a popular place for the locals and we would recommend it for customers of Locaboat as their base is next door. It would be a perfect place to begin your voyage or a lovely place like it was for us on completion of an excellent canal experience.
The first thing to be said about this restaurant is that it is VERY difficult to find, even with a GPS. It is in an enclosed marina: one must park outside the marina compound and walk in. We took minutes to find it: tip.. park when your GPS says that you are metres away and ask a local for directions. The location is delightful. The marina is modern and surrounded by apartments: it is traffic-free and we had a lovely walk after lunch. That's it, really. The food is perfectly adequate and reasonably priced. The service was polite and efficient (despite our being English). The local wine in carafe is excellent value. If you can find it without the hassle, it is an OK experience.

Ce restaurant a été une découverte pour nous. Nous y sommes aller par hasard, et ça a été un réel plaisir ! Tour d'abord une vue magnifique sur le port, et lorsque les plats arrivent, c'est juste parfait ! Rapport qualité/prix excellent, de l'entrée au dessert on se régale ! Le service est agréable, en bref, un restaurant qui mérite d'être connu :)
Nous avons diné en terrasse, près du port d' Ariane. C'était très agréable. Très bon accueil. Le menu a 23€ (entrée - plat - dessert) est tout a fait correct. Les plats sont présentés d'une façon très originale du début a la fin et tout est très bon.
Nous avons pris le menu à 23€ entrée/plat/dessert le soir avec des produits qui semblent frais et des plats créatifs: imbattable.Vin au verre 3,5€ (servis à la bouteille)Service agréable: à recommander! Nous reviendrons.
Un lundi 14 août à port ariane pas facile de dîner... un peu tristounet pour l été. Heureusement ce restaurant est une bonne surprise. Menu bon marché et très bon. Accueil sympathique et bonne ambiance en terrasse.

The Mojito delicious. Great and tasting food. The service efficient and very friendly. The ambient cozy. Nice view. The price completely reasonable. I hardly recommend.
