On 19.10.2013 we stayed at the restaurant for dinner with a group of 21 people (visited in advance). We had two big tables above the entrance. After ordering drinks, a 2 group of people came to the restaurant. The staff was very friendly but unorganized. Instead of a clear distribution of tasks, each of the 3 people took the drinks and everyone took care of all areas. There were the following problems: It took 60 minutes until the first drinks arrived. The food order was then received. Until the first meal arrived this time. 45 minutes, but until the last meal was served at one of our tables, 120 minutes were distributed. I often visited for lunch or dinner going back over 20 years when visiting with my family in Pirmasens. The menu selections were diverse and included regional specialties as well as appetizers for the more adventurous, such as frog legs and escargots. I always felt the prices were a bit steep, however the food was above par. The last time I ate there was 3-4 years ago and I was disappointed in the overcooked and tough pork, chicken and beef and the stiff and "formal" atmosphere. The service was mediocre.
