Don't be put off by what appears to be the rather naff pseudo English name Le Home for the hotel part this establishment. Au Pere William is the name of the restaurant and quite nicely puns on the Williams pear (which is included in...one of their salads there's a lot of fruit in other dishes too). I'm not sure they intended the reference to the Lewis Carroll rhyme. Basically, this is a delightfully cheery place on the very western edge of the old town of Belves. From the main square, wander along the rue Manchotte and when you come to the end it's diagonally opposite you on the right across the Place Croix des Freres. Charming service of a number of menus between 20 and 30 euros and a well...
I had the opportunity to have a meal in this restaurant during my visit to belvès. the map is simple, there is little choice but the quality and quantity are there, everything is made home. the couple of restaurateurs is very friendly and the chef doesn’t hesitate to take a few moments to explain the origin of the products. Be careful, it’s good, but as I have written above, it’s really hearty and I think especially about taking advantage of the chocolate that is ultra-imposing but nevertheless delicious.
advised by trip advisor travelers, we confirm that this restaurant deserves its good reputation. We took the menu at 24 € , very copious and excellent: the salad of the country (black ham, foie gras foam ....) is succulent and the dish (melly dolphin gratin and mellow dinde with foie gras sauce. ...miam ! ) the products are fresh and local and homemade. we went there with our two teens and they loved (and were repelled!) L. accueil is also charming and relaxed. bravo!
the waitress is very smiling and pleasant but the kitchen is mediocre. Why inundating grass from the beginning a piece of beef? Is there something to hide? pre-in, for each menu: a soup! not a turkey! an unsipid mud. Input salmon is correct, the assemblage with bone fruit! But it takes for all tastes.Severing dining room very noisy, the waitress is pleasant but. Watch the hair and nails.

in our village Belves, this is always a pleasure. there was a new renovation of both the restaurant and the adjacent hotel. William is a fabulous cook, and his beautiful wife, Nathalie, is always a great help in the restaurant. we send all our guests from our local Gite to Le Hom
excellent diner, very good fresh products excelled: very tasty and rich, a chef is passionate and who does not sacrifice quality, even if the prices are very reasonable with regard to the plates served. we'll go back there in a next passage, that's certain.
Copious portions, quick and efficient service, large friendly room, on one of the belves squares, in the evening, but on a terrace at noon or in good weather, South West gastronomy, very appreciated by the English natives, good wine and correct prices!
Well worth a visit, scallops were amazing. We had fish, steak and salad, and all were fabulous. Lemon tart and pomme fine tart also delivered. Bergerac wine was also beautiful. Service was on site, will definitely return.
