Restaurant Bad-Stübli

I have been a frequent guest at the Bad-Stübli restaurant for a long time. The food is always good and the service is also top. I can only recommend the Bad-Stübli restaurant, outside in the garden in spring, summer and autumn when it's colder or it's raining, but it's also very nice inside in winter. I can only warmly recommend Fehli Schnägge (file tips with herb butter), cordon bleu, entrcôte double and sliced veal liver. Of course, I also recommend trying the rest of the menu. We celebrated a family birthday here with 8 people, we knew the restaurant as a good upper middle class location and were massively disappointed: Despite a reservation, we got the table at the back; the seating was very tight. All the tables around us arrived after us and were served before us. Two plates were even accidentally delivered to our table instead of to the neighboring table. When the mistake was noticed by the service staff after about 5 minutes, the plates were simply brought to the correct table, which is an absolute no-go in my opinion. Have been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food and location . The staff are not very polite but we usually ignore this as it’s the food and company you go with that matters. But this week the staff were incredibly rude,I won’t go into details here but my husband did ask to speak to the manager but was told that he was too busy in the kitchen to speak to customers. The food was mediocre and service poor.

It was a very nice visit. First of all, I would like to mention the two service fairies who served us competently and very, very courteously and extremely friendly! We had a very pleasant evening meal sitting out under the trees. The food was good beef tatare, Caprese salad veal sausage. The staff were polite very attentive (don't understand some of the other reviews). It made an excellent change from hotel dining!!

It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Lovely area and a nice garden/outdoor setting. We only stopped for a drink after a hike in the area. The food looked nice. Prices were a bit high even for Switzerland, but not outrageous. Was busy.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it once was. Portions very small, vegetables from frozen vegetables. Definitely too expensive for that. Service was friendly.
