Bakera - Reserva de mesa

Hello, Im new in Bayonne and use this site to find the good stuff, as I've done everywhere I go. We choosed Bakera for lunch (12th august) and I will not be back again. This is the 1st time the reviews were very far from what I found the place to be. We were seated on the large table by the kitchen, and the service was terrible, after 10 minutes I decided to take a picture of the menu board outside because the waiter didnt bring us the menus, courtesy water came about 10 minutes later (20 total) and the food almost 50 minutes since we seated. While we wait for ages, we could see the kitchen stuff drinking (dunno but maybe it was whiskey) , eating and leaving almost outside (he was by the bac...

poor restaurant from a qualitative point of view, with improvised and rude staff. we go with friends, convinced to find quality and gourmet, and we find ourselves in the usual mediocre restaurant run by improvised pseudo-restaurants, that combine the foods with the usual fries and salad. the average of the French restaurants is really low and the list of poor wines, not to think in a country that believes to be n. 1 in wine making. I think that the worst Italian trattoria certainly exceeds the average of the French brasserie, in particular of this.

We went in Bakera based on TA reviews. We were not disappointed; on the contrary. Excellent food... not much choice but usually a small choice means good quality. I had the fish of the day which was superb and fresh from the sea. The offer a set of different salt types to accompany the meals. Wow. We definitely recommend. If you are in the region. Try it. You'll love it...

We had a very nice experience here both in terms of food, wine and service. We appreciated the fresh croquetas, very good meat both cooked and in Tartare and we really enjoyed the desserts, as the end, being in three we tasted almost everything. The service was warm and entertaining, we will come back on the next chance to visit Bayonne Reserva una mesa ahora
