We have dined here at least five times in the last couple years. Not many Americans visit the Greifswald area, but it is a delight--as much like Sweden as it is Germany, I am told. To avoid endless superlatives, I will simply say that the food at Buettner's is Michelin star quality--but the service is better than that. The staff is professional and attentive but warm--in a good way. I am not sure the locals realize that they have a culinary treasure in their midst.
From the moment you enter this restaurant, you know it's special. Lovely ambience, great menu. But what sets this place apart is the personal attention bestowed upon the kitchen as well as the guests by the owner and chef. My wife's perch was excellent, my lamb dish good enough. The wines by the glass (both recommended by the chef, who obviously took pride in knowing the winemakers) were delicious and reasonably priced. Dinner for two was about 60 EUR.

I had a very pleasant dinner in this beautiful restaurant in Wiek the terrace is fantastic, right at the harbour with sunset and well protected from the wind. the service is very friendly and very effective. I took a 3-course menu with 3 glass. of weep about 80 euro. Eating is really innovative, delicious brain and fish. everything was really good risotto not cooked enough and too salty, but this is a very subjective occasion. very good experience Reserva una mesa ahora

Looking for a restaurant I hit "nearby" to see what was available Well 64' away was #1 and we had just walked by it. Thank you TA, it was excellent. Service was superb, tastes were incredible, fresh and interesting entrees, and an excellent wine list. A little pricy, but worth the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
elegant little restaurant right at the harbour in the possession of a woman who also prepares designs and prepares to eat. Beautifully present, the portions are not great, but our three-course dinner was plentiful and unforgettable.

Nothing is left to chance. The staff is competent, the food modern yet accessible, the pricing very sensible and the restaurant atmosphere dignified, yet relaxed. Great location at the river.
