We came upon the Restaurant Campagnard completely by accident on a dreadfully wet day along a very narrow road in the mountains. We couldn't believe that we'd found anywhere at all and when we went in were asked if we had a reservation; we hadn't...of course but they fitted us in anyway, it's that sort of place. I would describe the style as Ferme Auberge, very much a family affair they were having their lunch at the same time; very homely; very well done indeed. We chose the menu so had soup (excellent flavour, filling and warming), Agneu roti with chips and a desert; wine available from a very decent list or 'en carafe'. we came on the restaurant campagnard completely accidentally on a terrible wet day along a very narrow road in the mountains. we could not believe that we were found everywhere and when we came in, were asked if we had a reservation; of course we didn't. but they have nevertheless adapted us, it is such a place. Great dinner with friends. Smiling friendly service, excellent food, great deserts. Beware that they only take cash!
