a well-known (both 70 and 80 ) and I visited the cuddly in the afternoon to drink something. when paying, the chef demanded a (light) higher price than according card. there was no ticket. I paid, controlled the prices of the card and waved to the chef. I asked him how he would get on this order, then he called me a false price for the beer. The Chutzen restaurant is a reliable place, with good traditional Swiss food, reasonably priced. Service was always friendly and efficient, and the location is amazing. My 95yo mother loves to go there, because we can walk around the restaurant after lunch and enjoy the awesome view on the Bernese Alps, the lake of Thun, the valleys below. The restaurant is located on top of the Belpberg, a small mountain near Berne, easily reachable by car. It has a very agreable terrace, the place is simple and relaxed, the boss Mr. Sakic (who will be retiring soon) has done a very good job, although he doesn't have any guests if the weather isn't good. The view is nice but everything else needs quality improvement. The staff, and possibly the owners, would benefit from training on how to greet guest, handle mistakes and be nice without being imposing. Some of the food was good but most was too salty. More was expected... I do not recommend stoping by unless it is the only choice.
I did not go to the Chutzen because of the restaurant, but because of the spectacular view onto Berne, Thun and the whole region. The Chutzen is absolutely breathtaking! We had deserts (was good,) drinks and just enjoyed the walk up to the scenic point and the view. It's absolutely worth going.

we were served extremely unfriendly, received a lukewarm lattemacchiato with the foundation, it will last so when you cleanse cold milk (?) and were finally banished from the restaurant without any reason. We have never had to experience such a thing.
it was a wonderful lunch, with colleagues, in the beautiful restaurant. the service was perfect, friendly and the food was excellent with a perfect price/performance ratio. I was the first, but certainly not the last time!
