We visited Gruyere yesterday and decided to go to the restaurant Des Remparts for a drink and a famous fondue. What a mistake that was. It was a beautiful afternoon and we waited patiently for an outdoor table for 15 minutes. During this time no one came to ask us what we were waiting for or to inform us how long a table would be. We have just waited there, although employees come from the restaurant to serve other customers outdoors. Finally ended a few and hesitant we drove to this table and sat down. All wonderful. Starting from the picturesque village of Gruyeres, which is cute and extremely quiet at night. We spent 2 days at this place and had a typical Swiss gastronomic experience in this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, the service very cordial, plus...a kind of terrace enclosed with glass, giving a spectacular view of the valley below the village. There we ordered two very typical dishes from the region. The Fondue and Raclette. All accompanied by a wonderful wine indicated by our waitress. À la recherche d'un restaurant pour le repas de midi, nous avons opté pour cet endroit et nous avons été enchantés ! Accueil chaleureux par du personnel souriant. Nous avons été placés à la véranda (magnifique vue). Carte variée mais sans excès. En plus il y a la carte estivale et même des mets-spécialités de chanterelles. La croûte au fromage est excellente. L'assiette de Roastbeef est généreuse ! Les desserts sont servis avec de la véritable crème de Gruyères et les bricelets sont faits maison ! Un régal ! Même si certaines personnes trouvent les prix élevés, il s'agit ici, à notre avis, d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix ! On recommande ce restaurant et nous y reviendrons !
En famille sur la terrasse. Une journée de soleil. Cuisine typique. Pour 2 fondue, une raclette et une omelette, plateau de charcuterie entrée, 3crème gruyère dessert avec des fruits rouge, bouteille de vin blanc, 2 jus, 2 bières et une bouteille d'eau: tout pour 200ch, je trouve acceptable vu l'endroit.La serveuse (petite dame de origine Portugaise) très sympa avec des très bons conseils. Agréable moment lors de notre passage pour le repas de midi. En entrée : cassolette de chanterelles et pour le plat principal tartiflette et croûte au fromage. Repas traditionnels de la région qui étaient délicieux ! Et en plus avec une magnifique vue ! Je le recommande lors de votre visite à Gruyère !
