Très bel établissement, le restaurant propose 3 salles: 1 salle réservée aux curistes, 1 salle en terrasse, 1 salle "traditionnelle. L'accueil est très bien assuré, avec courtoisie et sourire. les salles sont spacieuses et jolies. Les tables sont espacées, ce qui permet de conserver une vraie intimité à table. Couverts et tissus sont de qualité. Les chaises sont bonnes, pas de mal de dos. Situated within the splendid belle epoche Grand Hotel in the quartier thermale (spa district) about minutes on foot from the centre of town. Plentiful parking on site, but poor disabled access, steps up to front door, more steps to the lift to...the restaurant. The lunchtime service has just been re-launched as a Bistrot' with a menu including a plat-du-jour for euros. We arrived without reservations and were warmly welcomed. Service was polite and attentive, if a little slow. The food was excellent. We came here to have lunch with a friend. They only had a limited menu to choose that consisted of a starter, main and dessert. The food was good and smelled home cooked. The staff are friendly but speak limited English, the youngest one though...seems to be able to get by.

We had to eat the menu du jour for Sunday and it consisted of a tomato salad, a small veal pie with roquette salad and an apple pie for dessert. Though delicious, it was very small for the price of per person.

I just wrote a review of the Grand Hotel but in fact it was for the restaurant. Great fish (omble chevalier but very long wait. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices.
